เราถูกปลูกฝังว่าชีวิตคือการทำงานที่ได้รับมอบหมาย เราต้องกำหนดจุดมุ่งหมายแล้วมุ่งมั่นฝ่าฟันไปให้ถึง ชีวิตจริงไม่ได้ตรงแหน็วอย่างนั้น การกำหนดเป้าหมายช่วยให้เราควบคุมได้จริงหรือไม่

เป้าหมายบางครั้งก็เป็นกับดัก เมื่อเราทำได้แล้ว คือ perfect แล้ว แต่ความจริงเราสามารถทำให้ดียิ่งกว่าสมบูรณ์แบบและเคล็ดลับความสำเร็จ ทำให้ดีกว่าที่มันควรจะเป็น

เป้าหมายเพียงอย่างเดียวของผู้เขียน คือ วันพรุ่งนี้ตัวเขาต้องมีอะไรที่แตกต่างจากวันนี้

ในยุคตื่นทองในอเมริกา Levi’s Strauss เตรียมข้าวของไปขายนักขุดทองระหว่างเดินทาง ซึ่งขายดีมาก ขายได้ทุกอย่าง เหลือแต่ผ้าใบทำเต๊นท์ เมื่อมีคนมาถามว่ามีกางเกงขายไหม Levi’s จึงจ้างช่างตัดกางเกงจากผ้าใบ เราจึงมีกางเกงยีนกันมาถึงทุกวันนี้

และเราก็ควรทำตัวให้คู่ควรกับไอเดียที่ยอดเยี่ยม เพราะถ้าเราเป็น Levi’s ในวันนั้น แล้วมีคนมาขอซื้อกางเกง แล้วเราตอบไปว่าไม่มีหรอกกางเกงมีแต่ผ้าใบไม่เห็นหรอ วันนี้โลกเราคงไม่มีกางเกงยีนส์ Levi's

เมื่อมีไอเดียแล้วจงทำทุกอย่างเพราะไม่รู้ไอเดียที่ยอดเยี่ยมจะมาจากตรงไหน ผู้เขียนเน้นเรื่อง #การลองทำไม่เคยล้มเหลว และไอเดียกับความบังเอิญก็เป็นพี่น้องกัน เมื่อไหร่ที่ลังเลเมื่อนั้นคือสัญญาณให้ลองทำ

คำถามที่ pop up ขึ้นมาในหัวหลังจากอ่านจบ คือ เราควรตั้งเป้าหมายในการเลี้ยงลูกไหมคะ?

The book “The Max Strategy” (Thai name means “Are you happy with your work?” challenged my belief in finding purpose, set goal and drive action plan to achieve the goal.

We believe that our lives are the works that we are assigned. We need to set a goal and strive to achieve it. Goal setting, is it really helps us be in control?

Sometimes the goal is a trap. When we achieve it, it means perfect. In reality, we can make it better than perfect. And the secret of success is to make it better than it should.

Only one goal of the writer is tomorrow, he must be different from today.

During the gold rush in USA, Levi’s Strauss prepared things to sell for the gold rusher. He can sell everything except tent cloth. There is a person asked him if he sells pants, Levi’s hire a tailor to make the pants from the tent cloth. From then on, we have jean.

We should make ourselves deserve great idea. If we were Levi’s on that day and there is someone asked for pants, we may tell that we have only tent cloth, don’t you see? Today we may not have Levi’s jean.

When there are ideas, try every idea. We will never know which one is a great idea. The writer emphasize on Trying Never Fail. The idea and the coincidence are siblings. When we are reluctant to try, that is the signal to take action.

The question popped up when I finished this book is shall we set a goal for parenting?
